Yeah, I really like your art too. It's colorful and fun! And visually interesting. And the fact you do what you wanna do's great (like sometimes it's scary monsters, sometimes gore, sometimes pretty colorful stuff). The "monster in the dark just wants to be friends... why dont you get closer" was a really nice drawing, too!
thank you so much :'0 💖 I'm glad you like what i do, I feel bad sometimes for the people that follow me and don't wanna see guts all over their screen XD but I guess they should expect it by now lol I hope you don't mind :') I really like your artstyle btw, I see lots of potential! did you use to doodle under another username some years ago? Your style is familiar
No, I like your guro content! I rarely run into guro, so it's always fresh feeling in a nice way. You usually make it visually interesting to see; due to it being kinda messy and juicy and whatnot. https://doodleordie.com/c/n25cTFrrdf#2 This one was very cool! And kind of hoped you'd get the doodle-prompt, lmao. Thank you! My style's pretty unrefined, since I've not put in much practice (but I do recognize stuff I could work on to get better). So if I kept drawing more and more, I'd eventually probably get a lot better and have a more defined, detailed style. (But I wonder if abandoning the "jagged" style'd be good or not. https://doodleordie.com/c/nRuu1kZCZL Here I tested out jagged style vs single stroke.)
Good eye! I've been on DoD a few times. But it's been years since I last played. Last time I was around was maybe even... 2 to 5 years ago? Not sure! I recognize your name, I think. And artstyle, I feel. So we probably played during the same time ages ago! And I don't remember my old username anymore, hahah.
I think the jagged style has lot's of charm! It can work, I think, though people say that its good to give confident strokes. I think it's possible to have the best of both worlds though ^_^
Oh, I knew it! I'm sure we had a small interaction on CB2 once! that's funny, well I'm glad to play with you again!
(Oh and I'm glad you like guro haha that's a relief, I just had to draw your prompt man, how could I say no to that :'D )
Yeah, I saw some video talking about how jagged can make stuff look amateurish. But I feel like at times it can make stuff look "coarse" and "rough" in a fun way where the style works, imo. If it's done right, I mean. https://doodleordie.com/c/JHogT-bxf#16 https://doodleordie.com/c/J2myHNkiA#14 These two imo for example look pretty to me due to how chaotic and coarse they are, kinda. And if they'd been just confident strokes, they'd look less interesting to me, I think. But the Rainbow Dash I drew looks nice, without jaggies. (Even if I got a bit lazy with some of it... s: ) What's CB2 again? Was that the Discord? I'm glad you're around to play with! You're the Rembrandt of DoD, lmao. (As in, make beautiful stuff + draw pretty often!)
yeah! like it gives a lot of character to the drawing, and honestly even professionals do it like to give it this "wild " look. I think it's more of a "how" to do the lines instead of to do them or not. like following the contour of the shape and stuff, i've seen some people do it. Honestly don't trust anybody that tells you there's only one way to do art, every rule can be broken.
CB2 is the room chainbreaking2, I think you posted some drawings some years ago there.
and ahahah thank you, what a title :') I'm honored
Yeah, some really nice looking animation scenes for example have had "jagged" style on purpose to emphasize the violence of it all. (Castlevania for example had some dramatic shots.) Maybe! I for sure was in some groups, but not sure which. Not sure how active I was. I'm sure there's some older stuff from me buried in some old threads, I'd think. I probably used a very jagged style and drew "spooky" stuff, so if you ever see something like that, it may have been mine, hahah.
