  Threatening enemies could make it a very fierce and energetic battle. Because of all the anger and irritation that builds up.

  Well I would assume so. If you were trying to keep your civilization safe and together and you had a wall that was made with hard work and time to help in the process of protection, then I think it would be a common reaction when someone tries to knock it down TO RAISE SOME SERIOUS HELL!
