  rereading this, i phrased this badly - windows ink is by default ON, and turning it OFF can help with compatibility... i was tired when i wrote that step sorry :(

  Right, that's what I was attempting to do (turn it off). I don't think it really did anything for me, though. My tablet is an older version that doesn't have a screen, so that may be part of the problem? Thanks for trying to help regardless :)

  dang, that helped me back in 2017 with my first ever drawing tablet, without a screen! until a couple years ago i just had a ugee and a teeny wacom. another small thing that helped me is hopping between browsers - firefox is sometimes jittery with the lines, chrome sometimes vanishes the cursor... safari wouldn't let me control-z, but i can't think of any problems i ever had with edge. (i think i just don't like to use edge for stuff.) i change it up sometimes if one of the hangups is really killing my flow. there's also smaller quality of life updates that this site has gotten in maybe the last year or so, like password recovery on new accounts and being able to report accounts for harassment - so maybe something on the backend is changing, and the stuff that worked before doesn't so much anymore. i also haven't tested it at all with windows 11 and that might add a whole new layer of issues, they have been implementing a lot of "opt out" features that break other basic functions of the computer at times. maybe ai just isn't compatible with this website, lol! i know the account i'm using to comment is like two weeks old at most but i've been using dod for over 10 years. sucks that i can't help you more. good luck! o7
