@step 1: Oh, I see. You probably stopped reading somewhere around when Jade found out what she had to do to help finish the game, which was to create the perfect frog to build the universe they're in, so she started breeding frogs to get a good match. The door, though, would be the final product of their victory in the game, a new universe for them to explore.
