I always end up getting lost when exploring! Can't I just get like, a box of cereal so I can pour myself a trail to find my way back?

Some games are worth to explore (Warframe, The Forest, Don't Starve, StarCraft II, Resident Evil, Far Cry) ,and some games are not. (Alien Isolation, Dark Soul, Killing Floor, PAYDAY. )

Yeah, I guess some games are worth exploring, but usually when I do, I always get lost and end up getting myself killed, therefore losing all my progress >:(. But I'm not a Gaming God, like most people, so I really don't know any better.
