sorry if you wanted the "chell is cave and caroline's kid" theory OP, I ship them just as hard as you but Chell Is Not White and the timeline issues are actually gigantic so i think chell is rattmann's adopted kid instead.

TheUser, honestly despite timeline issues I've always believed that Chell was Rattmann's and Caroline's kid. Maybe a quick fling before Caroline left Rattmann with Chell to go be with Cave. No idea. I ship CaveXCaroline as much as the next chap, but that's just my opinion.
